The PenFed Foundation’s mission is to support service members as they transition to civilian life, empowering them to find their purpose after the military and realize their potential. Since 2001, we have proudly championed veterans and their families, touching the lives of more than 150,000 people.

How we help
This program celebrates the leadership and selfless service of military members by providing grants that support the transition from service to civilian life. We award both high-impact community and individual grants, and we form partnerships with other nonprofits, allowing us to reach even more veterans and ensure they have the tools to thrive after service.
Our accelerator program propels veteran-founded companies to new heights. From the elusive world of accessing capital to practical, hands-on coaching, our founders experience group collaboration and individualized mentorship that better prepares them to navigate the complexities of growing a startup. The program is free, and we do not take any equity—our sole purpose is to position vet-led companies for success. Grow your business with us!
